Exploring the area

The shore of Lake Langano around the lodge is beautiful, and well worth taking some time to explore. Whatever your preferred method of transport – by foot, bike or horse – we can provide the equipment and, if you want, the guides to help you discover the real Ethiopia.

The terrain is varied, if you fancy a nice easy ride you can stay near the shoreline on the flat. If you prefer something a bit more challenged there's plenty of day rides to be had taking in some more 'interesting' terrain. Whatever you choose you'll be able to escape into the natural, peaceful environment of the countryside around Lake Langano.

The people in the surrounding villages are incredibly welcoming, let our guides show you what life is like in this rural part of Ethiopia. Chances are you’ll be invited in to join a coffee ceremony to partake in some freshly prepared, locally produced coffee.
